MPOG^® case histories - offshore

Since 1995 the surface exploration method MPOG^® is also being successfully applied offshore e.g. Baltic Sea, North Sea, Barents Sea, Mediterranean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean. Three microbiological surveys from the Dutch sector of the North Sea are explained here. In order to prove the reliability of the MPOG^® method these studies were carried out without any knowledge of drilling results or geophysical data.

In the case study "P11" two production wells were drilled after publication of microbiological results. The case study "L16" shows the result of one unsuccessful well which has been drilled in a region without microbial anomalies - despite the negative forecast.
